VOITH-ELIN Elektronik (VEE
for short) is founded on April 1, 1989 as a joint-venture
between the companies J.M.Voith (Heidenheim/Germany) and
ELIN Energieanwendung (Vienna).
1996
ELIN Energieanwendung takes over the shares of J.M.Voith
in the company. VEE becomes a 100% ELIN subsidiary.
1997
Due to the merger of ELIN Energieanwendung and Elektro-Bau
AG into ELIN EBG Elektrotechnik GmbH, the company name
is changed from VOITH-ELIN Elektronik to ELIN EBG Elektronik
GmbH.
1999
Determined by the global strategy of the VA Technology
AG the company name is changed to VA TECH ELIN EBG Elektronik
GmbH.
2000
Launch of the >pDRIVE<
products
2004
STI-ELIN is founded as joint-venture between Schneider
Electric (France) and VA TECH ELIN EBG Elektronik for
a corporate developement and production of power electronic
parts.
2007
With the new owner Schneider Electric the company
name changes to Schneider Electric Power Drives GmbH.
